Greg Newsome II's agent confirmed that he was content in Cleveland and had not sought a trade from the Browns.

Newsome is angered by the false story that labeled him a malcontent a week later.

Newsome is angered by the false story that labeled him a malcontent a week later.

"I was mad [about the report]," Newsome stated Tuesday through team transcript. I don't believe people realize how much Cleveland means to me. After being picked, the crowd welcomed me. 

Newsome's new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, addressed his client's emotions immediately after the news was published.

Newsome's dissatisfaction with the Browns wasn't unfounded. Last season, former defensive coordinator Joe Woods ordered Newsome to play in the slot owing to the success

Newsome, a 6-foot, 192-pound linebacker, said, "I was more of a linebacker than a cornerback." Newsome thrives in coverage, not run defense.

Newsome is satisfied with the Browns, so all that's left to do is work and dismiss any rumors of his leaving.
